I have completed a certificate and a Bachelor degree in Indigenous Social Work from the First Nations University of Canada – U of R. I have worked in a selection of areas consisting of Addictions, Child Protection, Corrections and Therapeutic group homes. I use a holistic approach that enables and encourages you to use your own personal strengths for growth and healing. You can expect me to be there for you to support, encourage and watch you succeed in accomplishing your healing goals. As we all have different experiences and we are all unique I will create a safe place for you to explore the causes of your life’s challenges in a safe, holistic and non-judgemental way with honesty, professionalism and confidentiality. I practice from a strength based and client-centered approach. I utilize many approaches to assist my client’s in meeting their needs. The areas that I use include solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, trauma informed care and family systems. I am passionate for helping others heal. I am constantly looking to further my educational learning for new modalities and approaches that will best fit to assist my client’s in achieving their goals and maintaining the positive changes for their personal healing.
